Washakie County is home to world class hunting, fishing and rock climbing. The Big Horn Mountains are a photographers dream for wildlife, scenery and wild flowers. The mountains also offer downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, horseback and ATV trails.
The community is becoming nationally known for its annual Pepsi Wyoming BBQ Championship and Bluegrass Festival. The Worland Community Center Complex, Washakie Museum, Washakie County Library System and Community Aquatic Center give young families plenty of choices for activities. Washakie County has many youth programs outside of school from 4-H to Boys and Girls Club, dance classes, martial arts, sports and so much more!
